Great Location but Dated Rooms - posted on 02/01/2006
Located on main street within walking distance of shops and activities in attractive downtown Greenville. Big atrium with lots of meeting spaces and meeting rooms. Rooms were dated and dusty and not as clean as I would expect. Bathroom outdated with a weird faucet that sprays water like a shower. Room was quite large. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Shuttle to airport very professional and on time. The hotel offers all the services of a large-scale hotel. Business Center was cramped but had T1 line and 3 free PCs.
Great service-- less than great room. - posted on 01/27/2006
One never really goes to a Hyatt for a beautiful room, but I thought that in comparison to the Atrium, my room was someowhat sad. Basic hotel decor, fairly worn. Bathroom outdated, really harsh lighting, and a terrible faucet that sprays and makes a mess. The wallpaper was patched with spackle in th entry. Room pretty spacious, but just had a low-end sort of look. Drink machines on 3 floors weren't accepting bills, and 1 of them actually took the bill I inserted. Could be a really great place if they'd update the decor. Room service very prompt, and VERY nice.

Just happened to arrive in Greenville after one of the worsed ice storms in recent history. Hotel was filled with locals without power. We were lucky to get one nights booking. Lobby is large atrium style and not particulary bright or warm feeling. Desk staff were very pleasant. Room was good size but wall paper was coming loose, cushioned chair had broken leg and leaned to one side, coffee pot was missing from machine in the room. Great location in the heart of the beautiful downtown area. You can walk to everthing from here.

Great stay for business. Excellent location, very short commute from airport, not to mention free shuttle service. Good food, and wonderful service.
Outstanding Service - posted on 12/06/2005
Beautiful Hotel, even better service. From the moment we checked in the staff was very helpful. The Bell Staff made reservations for us at a local restaurant. Everyone was very willing to help in any way to make our trip enjoyable.
Poor Front Desk Service - posted on 05/01/2005
This hotel is perfectly located. The only complaint with this hotel is with the untrained and unfriendly front desk staff. Parking is supposed to be included with some packages and the front desk tried to charge us for it on several attempts!

I stayed at the Hyatt for the first time after staying at other Greenville hotels. Their hotel is by far the best in the city. The staff was great and the location was terrific. Nothing like coming back from work and getting out and walking down a tree lined Main Street. I did some shopping and had dinner at a great Italian restaurant a couple blocks from the hotel...no more fast food during my business trips!

It's okay. The rooms was huge, the service was friendly, the food was good. It's 70's glass and steel-atrium, which is not my personal favorite.
