The pet-friendly Econo Lodge Goose Creek is near Charleston Southern University and comprises 50 rooms equally suited to the business or pleasure traveler. The property is located on Highway 52 North, 12 miles from historic Charleston and eight miles from Charleston International Airport. Area landmarks and attractions include the Crowfield Plantation, Cypress Gardens, the Naval Weapons Station Charleston, Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, Boone Hall Plantation, the Crowfield Golf Club and shopping at the nearby Northwood Mall.

This may not be the greatest Econo Lodge in the Carolinas but several visitors to Goose Creek had an enjoyable stay. Some guests complained that the prices were too high while others were pleasantly surprised by the rates. The cheerful team of employees provided friendly service and the rooms were clean and well-equipped. There were complaints about the noise from the trains, hard to stop when the property is so close to the tracks.
