The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The "extended" continental breakfast was perfect.

The room was roomy and comfortable.

The pet-friendly Comfort Inn at Carowinds is a 10-minute drive from Charlotte Douglas International Airport and provides 153 economically priced rooms equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. Items included with the room rate at this four-story hotel are a deluxe continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a copy of USA Today, in-room coffee and parking. The hotel has a boardroom that can accommodate 10 and a meeting room that can accommodate 25 guests. The Carowinds, a 100-acre water and theme park, is within walking distance of the hotel. Other area landmarks and attractions include several golf courses, the Charlotte Bobcats NBA Arena, NASCAR's Lowes Motor Speedway, Knights AAA Baseball Stadium, the Charlotte Convention Center and the Charlotte Merchandise Mart.

This may not be the most popular hotel or motel in Fort Mill but we give it the YES rating because of its good location, close to Interstate 77 and the Carowinds amusement park, its inexpensive rates and a helpful team of employees who have helpful hints about shopping and dining. Some guests said it was an Okay place to stay overnight but it needed some upgrading. Despite this many clients said they would here again and recommend the property to family and friends thank to its low prices and good complimentary breakfast.
