The 100-room Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Columbia-Fort Jackson is 14 miles from Columbia Metropolitan Airport and provides quality affordable accommodation equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. Items included with the room rate at this five-story, non-smoking hotel are a hot breakfast buffet, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, in-room tea and coffee and parking. There are two rooms available for social or business functions. The larger can accommodate 100 guests. The hotel is less than five miles from the Vista and Five Points business districts as well as the State Capitol. Other area landmarks and attractions include several golf courses, the University of South Carolina, South Carolina State Museum, Carolina Coliseum, Lake Murray, Riverbanks Zoo, the Governor’s Mansion, South Carolina State Fairgrounds, Williams-Brice Stadium and shopping at the Columbiana Mall and the Market Point Mall.

Location, location are among the plus points of this Holiday Inn Express. It is close to the expressway and one of the closest hotels to both Fort Jackson and the University of South Carolina. Those who have stayed here say the front desk workers do a great job and the rates are reasonable for the well equipped rooms. There were some minor gripes about the need for improved sound insulation between rooms.
