Our room had no window to the outside, just a small window towards the hall, and was very small. Ask for a front room. The hotel is charming, staff nice, and location perfect.
Location is perfect, staff is very friendly.
Most of the rooms don't have windows to the exterior & are small.

I was unsure of it at first, due to the fact that it was only a 2 1/2 star hotel, but became excited to find out that it did offer free wine and cheese, sherry and continental breakfast. It was also across from one of my favorite restaurants on Vendue! It was by far one of the most cute and enjoyable hotel experiences I have had.
The location, the room, the historic aspect and the free wine and cheese, sherry and breakfast. It was different from other hotels in a very nice way.
Could have had more television channels and free parking would have been nice.

All rooms are comfortable, clean, air-conditioned and nicely furnished with dark wood. Private baths are stocked with toiletries. They also have TV (cable/satellite), telephone and daily maid service. Some rooms have no windows, but the inn’s locale and amenities more than make up for this—after all, you’re in Charleston! Get out and enjoy a step back in time.

Mornings begin with a large Continental breakfast that includes warm biscuits, sausage gravy, French toast and fresh fruit. In the afternoon, join other visitors for wine & cheese. The cozy inn and friendly staff aim to please their guests with dinner reservations and tour information. Evenings end with turndown service and chocolates on the bed. Other amenities are complimentary high-speed Internet service, dry cleaning, a small meeting room and car-rental desk.

Intimate and charming with the ambiance of Charleston’s rich history, a visit to the inn offers more than higher priced B&B's in the area. With a wonderful location, comfortable accommodations, impeccable service and delightful socials in the library to meet other guests as was customary prior to the “great unpleasantness” (Civil War), no wonder the inn is popular. Book reservations long in advance.
