This 132 room, seven-floor hotel is fine for many travelers desiring economy lodging. The on-site Olde Town Family Restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Location-wise, it’s close to the airport, hospitals and I-26 for easy access to downtown Charleston. The area is a reasonably safe part of town, but it is not recommended that guests wander outside after dark. The staff is friendly and helpful and tour buses pick up guests at the front entrance. The hotel was last renovated in 2001 and is beginning to show wear.

For those on a tight travel budget, this hotel is satisfactory, especially with a restaurant on-site and some nice amenities. It’s basically no frills, but the staff is helpful and accommodations are adequate. This is not a very attractive part of Charleston and the driving distance into the historic district is about 20-minutes away. All guest rooms are air-conditioned, clean and feature one king or two double beds, private bath with toiletries, coffee/tea maker, cable TV, telephone and hair dryer. Ironing boards are available on request.

From Charleston International Airport: Exit airport and take the I-26 Expressway toward Charleston (about five miles) and exit at Dorchester Road. Turn left at the light and the hotel is on your left.
