This hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed in anywhere in the country. The location was perfect, the staff extremely friendly, the restaurant was excellent, they had free coffee, tea, champagne, and lemonade all day. The free breakfast was an average continental breakfast but had several healthy items. They had a free wine and cheese reception at 5:00. The list of good things goes on and on but the bottom line is that it was a great experience.

Free coffee, tea, lemonade, and champagne are served throughout the day.

Although, the room decor and furniture was of a high quality, I didn't like the colonial theme.

The architectural design of this modern 50-room hotel fits right in with traditional Old Charleston ambiance with a wood-paneled lobby in the rotunda and spiral staircase. Clean, elegant, friendly and courteous, it is located across the street from the Old City Market, within walking distance to Charleston Harbor, downtown shops and restaurants. A few blocks away are Whitepoint Gardens and the Battery lined with historic grand mansions. Aiming to make each guest welcome, a variety of hot and cold refreshments are available in the lobby all day. This lovely place ranks high for value and luxury.

Nicely decorated, the oversized rooms and suites with king or queen-size beds feature private balconies, some with working fireplaces, a pillow menu for choice of pillows, desk, lounge chairs, cable TV, telephone and voicemail. The large bathrooms have whirlpool tubs, thick towels, and luxury toiletries. Guests can enjoy complimentary Continental breakfast in bed.

A very nice modern hotel, it's in a wonderful location close to Charlestons historic attractions and great restaurants. Horse-drawn tour carriages, Old City Market and sweetgrass basket vendors are right outside the hotel. No need to drive around by car with trolley bus stop a block away to explore the area, or even strolling the beautiful avenues. Everyone is friendly and helpful, making the French Quarter Inn an excellent choice for lodging in the Holy City.
