This hotel was the nicest Hampton I have ever stayed in. Walked in the morning in the beautiful neighborhood. Breakfast was good, everything spotless and staff excellent and friendly.

A fairly new four-story chain hotel with 128 rooms located between Charleston and Isle of Palms, it has contemporary furnishings, comfortable accommodations and friendly service. Situated close to the I-526 highway, the hotel offers free airport shuttle service. For those interested in history, Daniel Island was once owned by New York's Guggenheim family and was used for cattle ranching. It was sold in the late 1990s to developers with provisions that the island be developed according to a master plan created by the Guggenheim Foundation.

There are several reasons why visitors would stay on Daniel Island, 20 minutes from Charleston, and that would be business, no room downtown or professional tennis tournaments at the Family Circle Tennis Center. Daniel Island is small, but it offers a quiet retreat in beautiful surroundings. There are limited, but good, dining options such as the Queen Annes Revenge, The Crab House and Cold Stone Creamery. The hotel offers a good value for the high quality of accommodations and service.
