This hotel would have been great for the money, except we got a room across from the ice maker. The machine made lots of noise all night long and we barely slept at all.

Horrible Experience at Sleep Inn! BUYER BEWARE!! - posted on 11/25/2006

Hotel claims to have a "fitness center." It really shares it with the hotel next door. Room/bath itself were actually okay, however our keys had to be re-programmed daily. One night, OTHER PEOPLE TRIED TO COME INTO OUR ROOM AT MIDNIGHT. Desk checked them into our room (they didn't even have a record of us staying at the hotel). Only the chain on the door stopped them. DESK STAFF REPEATEDLY CALLED OUR ROOM AND HUNG UP; to "see if there was anyone already staying there." We received NO compensation or apology for all of this!! BUYER BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL!!

Naughty crapper, but NICE Maintenance Man! - posted on 11/11/2006

The room we stayed in was awesome, except for the fact that the toilet kept overflowing! The maintenance man was a complete gentleman which made it a lot easier to deal with the whole situation. Overall, minus the crapper, I would recommend.

NEVER AGAIN - posted on 05/07/2006

Check-In was horrific & it got worse from there. The staff was pleasant, but not even close to professional. My room was adequate, but not up to previous stays at Sleep Inns. Appears their housekeeping is slack!!!

Smokey but tasty - posted on 12/06/2005

We stayed 4 nights. The room we ended up with was fine but we rejected 3 others that were smokey. The breakfasts are excellent. The staff was helpful. Easy drive to Charleston.

Customer service needs improvement - posted on 11/29/2005

The glass shower door fell off the first morning. Fortunatly no one was injured. When we came back the room had not been cleaned. Even though there were three men working behind the desk. I had to bring down my own towels and gargabe., and carry the replacements to the room my self.

Nice looking but scary at night! - posted on 10/19/2005

While the place looks nice enough but the area around it is not good. An obvious crackhead approached me for a handout before I even made it into the office to check-in. The parking is out in back of the building where you can't see your car and it is not very safe either. Looked like peeping toms have worn quite a path outside windows to the the ground floor units. The key-card lock on the rear door to the building apparently didn't work so someone had it propped open at night when I arrived. They really need to be more concerned with security and guest safety.

I had trouble with the "credit card" key for my door, and the woman at the frontdesk was not helpful at all. When I checked out, another woman behind the counter was on the telephone and kept talking and never even thanked me for staying at Sleep Inn, or said a word to me. How very, very rude. If these two women are an example, then the personnel at this hotel definitely need a refresher course in good customer service and common courtesy.

Smart Choice - posted on 07/29/2005

I especially liked the room set-up. The sink area was outside of the Shower/Toilet area. Our room was clean and smelled clean. Loved having a ceiling fan in the room and a sprinkler system. We'll stay at Sleep Inn again. A great room rate didn't take away from the quality of the facilities.

Nice and clean room with plenty of parking, but didn't have any way to open window for fresh air.

Would stay here again - posted on 05/05/2005

Pleasant stay, courteous staff. Swimming pool is shared with hotel next door. Continental breakfast with fresh made waffles was enough to start the day. The drive into Historic District was just a few minutes.

good clean rooms, nice size, very standard chain hotel. No complaints, no worries. No bathtub, but interestingly styled, very clean shower.
