Located in the heart of the historic district and close to shopping, the Old City Market, Charleston Harbor and historic mansions, this six-story hotel features a beautiful lobby with marble floors and an ornate fireplace. The Brasserie on Wentworth, the hotel’s restaurant, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves fine French cuisine with a bit of Southern flare. Serving leisure and business travelers, the hotel offers meeting and event facilities, business services and a ballroom. From the attentive staff to the luxury guest rooms, this hotel is a great place to stay in the city.

For convenience, comfort and a great location, this hotel meets expectations and more. Professional, friendly staff are ready to help with directions or reservations. Parking across the street is easy; however, for a few more dollars per night, valet parking might be a better choice. A downside is that breakfast is not included in the rate although there is a Starbuck’s coffee bar off the main lobby and cafes abound within short walking distance of the hotel. Renaissance Charleston Hotel Accommodations

The comfortable 166 guestrooms feature bonnet beds with down blankets, large bathrooms with granite vanities, luxury toiletries and soft bathrobes. Accommodations also include coffee/tea makers, high-speed Internet access, TV with premium channels, work desks, ergonomic chairs, and complimentary weekday newspapers. Mini-refrigerators are available on request.

Amenities offered

After exploring the city, mostly on foot, guests can relax on the patio by the outdoor pool or the fitness room. The lobby lounge is open all day for light fare and drinks. Concierge service will assist guests in planning their day from historic city tours to fishing, sailing, biking, canoeing and kayaking. Guests can enjoy a sumptuous breakfast buffet in the hotel (about $15 per person).

From Charleston Regional Airport:
Take International Blvd to I-526 E (toward Mount Pleasant) and to I-26 E to Charleston.
Travel on I-26 to the end (Meeting Street Exit).
Turn right onto Meeting Street.
Follow Meeting Street for approximately one mile and get into the right-hand lane at Trinity United Methodist Church.
At the next traffic light, turn right onto Wentworth Street.
The hotel is on the left.
