Watch Out if You take a pet - posted on 05/27/2007
The website shows that pets are welcome. Only after you get there do they reveal it is for $100 fee, non-refundable. I travel with a Service Animal, a Golden Retriever and had to fight with the desk clerk, no manager on duty, the calls going to India and so on for over an hour before I could check in even though I had the paperwork for the Service Animal. We finally got it resolved, but I did not know until I checked out two days later that I was not charged. I never did speak to a m

This was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. We lived in Charleston for roughly 5 yrs and missed it terribly. There are alot of nice, expensive hotels in Chalreston but the Residence Inn is, for the money a great place to stay.
Not far from downtown - posted on 02/23/2007
For the location and ease of geeting in and out of downtown it was a great hotel. The breakfast was a nice plus. It was nice having a full size refridgerator.
Excellent all around hotel - posted on 08/17/2006
This is a great all around hotel: clean, attractive, nice rooms (we had one bedroom suite w/two TV's, pay movie options) Good location minutes outside of historic district but within easy access. Hotel gives you printed directions to and from Historic district. Buffet Breakfast was very good and was included in price. No omelet station but scrambled eggs and bacon was fresh.

Not What I Expected for the $ - posted on 01/06/2006
While the hotel was very conveniently located to get in anout of downtown Charleston quickly, there were obvious needs for repair. Wall paper was peeling, new paint needed, and some signs neded repair. Room was very cramped in the suite, no shampoo/soap left on 1st day, no garbage at night by the coffee/sitting area, and the sheets appeared as if they were not freshly changed.

My huband and I wanted to get away for the weekend so decided to go to Charleston. Lovely hotel, inexpensive and close to the downtown area, resturants and shoppes. Very inpressed with the decore in the lobby. Rooms were spacious and clean. Perfect getaway spot.
Outstanding - posted on 05/02/2005
This was a pleasant experience from check-in to check-out. The staff was able to provide insight and advice as to local dining and places to visit. Service was beyond the norm. When I advised of a bad remote the replacement was at the door before I knew it. I would highly recommend.
A Wonderful Experience - posted on 01/07/2005
I was not looking forward to being away from home over Chirstmas, but I actually felt like I was at home at the Residence Inn. We even had to stay an extra night because of ice on the roads on our path home, and the staff was very accommodating with the last minute change.
Thank You - posted on 04/29/2004
Thank you for great service and accommodations. I brought my elderly Mother to Charleston to attend a wedding and having a separte bedroon was prefect as she goes to bed very early. Plus having the small kitchen area was great for keeping snacks around. We'll be back.
