For the price, this has to be the best deal in Charleston, which is a pricey locale during tourist times. Only complaint and you can't blame the residence Inn for this is that a maid entered the room without knocking first.

Located on the west side of the Ashley River and a short drive from downtown, this four floor, 119-room hotel built in 2000 features a lovely marina view of the city in a residential area. Perfect for extended stays, it will appeal to families, vacationers and visitors who need to be near Charlestons medical and treatment centers. Its only ten miles from Charleston International Airport, two miles west of Downtown, and eight miles north of beautiful Folly Beach. Many suites offer separate living and sleeping areas with a full kitchen who want to feel more at home

This beautiful hotel offers spacious, clean rooms that are very comfortable with a great view of the river and the city. The hot breakfast is also good, as is the evening social hour with complimentary beer and wine. The hotel chain has an excellent reputation for staff service and friendliness and its a good value for any visitor to the city. Easy to find, its a convenient location to downtown or the beach
