Independently owned and operated, this beautiful 126-room, six-story hotel on the corner of Meeting and Calhoun Streets is in a great location, right across from Marion Square Park where events and a weekly farmer’s market are held, a few blocks from the Galliard Auditorium, the Aquarium and Charleston Harbor. Decorated with historic ambiance in mind, wood floors, original artwork, English antiques and period furniture guests will enjoy their stay in one of the elegantly decorated suites. Parking is a good deal at $10/night. The hotel’s restaurant, the Battery Grill, offers breakfast and dinner with Southern cuisine.

This hotel is a great value, located in the heart of downtown Charleston, so close to attractions, dining and shopping. It is not your typical Holiday Inn and is more in line with a luxury hotel, but at a very affordable rate. The rooms are spacious and very clean with fine linen and extra mirrors. Holiday Inn Historic District Accommodations

This is an upscale Holiday Inn that reflects extra care taken for guests’ comfort. Spacious rooms feature formal window drapes, coffee/tea makers, cable TV, two-line telephones, data ports, hair dryers, and large bathrooms with luxury toiletries. King deluxe rooms have microwaves, mini-refrigerator and sitting area. There are also two-rooms suites with formal dining room and balconies.

Guests will enjoy a variety of amenities including an outdoor pool in a patio garden setting, exercise room, vending and ice machines, laundry/valet services, meeting rooms and business services, high-speed Internet access, concierge and room service. The Battery Lounge also features a baby grand piano, fireplace and comfortable sofas to enjoy evening entertainment. No need to drive a car here as city trolley stops are nearby and walking is encouraged to see the sights. King Street shopping is one block away.

From Charleston International Airport: Exit airport and take the I-26 Expressway and exit 221B (Meeting St./Visitor's Ctr.). Take a right onto Meeting Street about two miles and turn left on Calhoun Street; the hotel in on the right at the corner.
