Customer Reviews for The Lodge Alley Inn

Awesome! - posted on 02/07/2007

MY husband and I stayed in December and it could not have been better. Rooms, Location, Friendly staff and service - absolutely awesome! We paid no attention to the atttempted sales pitch and didn't feel pressured inside the hotel to accomodate the attempts. Now they have high pressure people on the street but we blew them off too! The point is everything to do with the hotel stay was crazy awesome!!

A good buy for the money - posted on 01/08/2007

We were very pleased with the Lodge Alley Inn. Check-in wasn't great - but it happened eventually. There were small problems with the suite - like no remote for the livingroom TV, but overall the accomodation was very comfortable.

The location is outstanding but the staff appeared sloppy and appathetic and the room was in need of maintence. Better hotels are available for the same money without the timeshare sales pitch.

Buyer Beware - posted on 04/29/2006

This is a time share vacation hotel. Don't stay unless you are interested in spending 2+ hours in a sales meeting and buying a vacation package. If you use valet parking, make sure you call for your car at least 45 minutes before you need your vehicle.

Valet a big problem - posted on 01/27/2006

I have been a guest at the Lodge Alley Inn at least 3 times over the past few years. Each time there has been a problem, especially with valet parking. I never get my car in a timely manner. Last May it took 45 minutes even though I called down for my car about an hour earlier. I ended up late for an engagement. I complained that the valets were just standing around, doing nothing but making excuses. I drive a luxury car and began to get a feeling it was out for a "spin". It didn't make sense that people coming out during those 45 minutes were getting their cars right away.My complaints were not dealt with, even though there were several idle valets. It was the last straw. We will never stay here again. Too bad, it is a great location. All 3 visits the valet parking has been this way. Each time while I'm driving very expensive luxury cars those with a family type autos are getting their car right away. If that isn't a pattern to be checked out closely then I'm surprised. Also, there are other turn offs. One is soliciting the guests to purchase a condo, the other, displaying out of date info on attractions. Why leave leaflets in "the Charleston area-things to do", when the attraction has been closed a long time?I won't be back, but these things can be fixed. Thanks for letting me vent...

A great birthday getaway!! - posted on 11/14/2005

We had a wonderful time staying here. They are in a great location to the market and eating area. Lots to do and see. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was nice and clean with a full kitchen. What a great birthday!! I highly recommend this hotel. Can't wait to go back.
