The room was very clean and the staff was wonderful in helping with our needs. We did have to exchange our room for a smoking room but that was no problem. I would recommend it highly if you like the night life and the party atmosphere of Charleston's down town. If not, you need to look for a place a little further out.
It was just around the corner from the slave market and great night life Charleston offers.
Our room came with 2 full size beds. This was uncomfortable for my husband who is 6'4". We ended getting up and sleeping in separate beds.

Studio room is decently large and well-decorated. Unfortunately, they do try to sell you on the time share idea, but the sales pitch is avoidable if you stay away from the "welcome concierge". Plumbing was not good at all, the bed was hard with very thin pillows and bedding that needed to be updated. The housekeeping only changes towels daily, which is disappointing. The location is so good though, that it makes up for some of the other shortcomings. Had I not got a deal through naming my own price, I would have been very disappointed in the hotel. I will look at other hotels for the next time I am in Charleston.
Location could not be better.
Bed was uncomfortable, bad plumbing, bad housekeeping.

Excellent hotel and staff. We plan to return next year.
Beautiful rooms with restored 300 year old wooden floors.
Some rooms are on the street that are subject to nightclub music noise.
