Very Good! - posted on 05/18/2007
Staff was great! They have done upgrading w/the carpet and rooms. Has a great view of Charleston and the River - Beautiful! Has a shuttle to the downtown but didn't get to use it since this was just a stop over stay but would definatley stay there again because of it.
Good Night Sleep - posted on 03/26/2007
I pulled into the driveway to find a bunch of beds outside. The desk clerk told me that the hotel was getting new beds. After eating in the restaurant on the top (Boy what view!) I returned and had a great night sleep. My stay was pleasurable for sure.
Great location! - posted on 03/15/2007
GReat location- complimentary transportation an added bonus! Very Friendly staff and nice rooms.
Older,but very nice - posted on 03/14/2007
When we were there, the staff were renovating to bring the hotel up to date. Beautiful view. Friendly staff. Will return Overall, very nice.
Pretty Satisfied - posted on 02/15/2007
My overall experience was pretty good. The only things I would warn against is there are no fans in the bathroom, which causes disgusting black mold to grow. Also, the hinged lock on our door broke off completely and we reported it and it was never fixed. But over all it was a nice stay. Rooms were spacious and generally clean and the staff was pretty friendly. Its also a nice location.

this hotel was nice, but the exterior really shows its age. Also the restaurant could use a makeover. It was a throw back to the "Golden Girls" and while the view is beautiful, the tables and chairs left much to be desired.
Decent hotel, a bit worn out. - posted on 11/25/2006
Convenient location, courtesy shuttle to downtown, expensive resturant, no complimentary breakfast. Decent hotel, a bit run down.
October stay - posted on 11/01/2006
The 3rd floor balcony sliding doors were locked shut as opposed to all the other floors. Need ventilation in bathrooms. Last time we stayed we could use the balcony at night to view the Ashley River. This time it was not useable.
Good Choice - posted on 10/28/2006
You definitely will appreciate staying here. Everybody was quite helpful and friendly; it would have been nicer if staff would have pointed out the discounts and coupons they had. The shuttles to and from downtown were a lifesaver, especially every 2 hours and 4 different spots.
Not up to par - posted on 07/31/2006
This hotel is in drastic need of renovation. The room was musty and old and suffice it to say we never put our bare feet on the floor! It is, however, conveniently located to downtown.
Not great up keep! - posted on 06/24/2006
The views and the price were the only good thing abou this hotel. As with all other Holiday Inns, we were expecting the free breakfast, which this hotel did not offer. There were holes in the bedsheets and lots of mold in the bathroom. It was not a very clean place and we were very disapointed. After just one night we left, even though we were scheduled to stay three nights. The beds are terrible uncomfortable!!
It's a Room - posted on 04/05/2006
The room was just a room and a pretty good value. The room was fine, but the bathroom needed repairs. The wallpaper was peeling off of the walls and their was mildew under the wallpaper. Our view was nice, but we wished there was more room on the balcony to sit. The bar/ restraunt was nice, with a good view of the river.
Satisfied! - posted on 02/13/2006
The stay at the hotel was enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable and the lounge and restaraunt were great. The views are outstanding. I was disapointed in the size of the balcony but everything else was great.

My husband and I booked this stay for our anniversary. Very enjoyable. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Loved the Harbor View Restaurant - posted on 07/20/2005
We had a wonderful time in Charleston! The Holiday Inn Riverview is the best. The shuttle took us downtown so parking was not an issue - we came back and had a fabulous dinner in the Harbor View Restaurant - will definitely reccommend this hotel to others.
Good Value - posted on 07/18/2005
Room was large and clean, heard no noise, and location was perfect. Pool is small but clean. Good value for the buck
ok for the price - posted on 07/04/2005
This hotel was Ok since I paid a discounted rate. If I would have paid full rate I would have been disappointed.
Clean room - posted on 06/28/2005
The room was clean and easy to get to-we appreciated the shuttle into Charlston
Hotel Room is Nothing Like Pictures Online - posted on 06/23/2005
The room is not the fancy huge room you see online it's a small corner room with a king size bed and a 3 ft balcony.
Mold in room/Poor Service - posted on 06/13/2005
The desk staff was rude as well as the restaurant waitress. We went up to get a bite to eat and sat close to the bar. The bar waitress was very rude and wouldn't even bring us menus. There was black mold behind the bed and on the back of the mattress. Room smelled of mold.
