This hotel is fine for visitors on a budget who need to be close to the Charleston Convention and Performing Arts Center and, of course, the airport. It offers comfortable accommodations and amenities and the staff is friendly. A vehicle is needed to get into Charleston seven miles away for historic sights but the Tangier Outlet Mall and Walmart are nearby. A Continental breakfast is offered, but guests may be happier with other dining choices such as the House of Pancakes a few blocks away. As a short-term stop on the way to another destination, this hotel works.

As a budget hotel with comfortable accommodations close to the I-26 highway into Charleston or the Air Force Base, it’s a good choice. The amenities are fine and it’s a short drive to restaurants in the area such as Red Lobster and Bo Jangles. The hotel’s 144 rooms are comfortably furnished with king or queen size beds, bathrooms stocked with toiletries, coffee/tea maker, microwave, mini refrigerator, hair dryer, cable TV, voicemail and hair dryer. Access is via an outdoor corridors.

Amenities offered

A large outdoor pool that can be enjoyed seasonally is one of the nice features of the hotel. There’s also a business center with computers and complimentary Internet access, complimentary weekday newspapers, and a 24 hour front-desk. A complimentary Continental breakfast buffet with fresh coffee, juice, cereals and muffins is included in the room rate, enough to start the day on a cheery note. There is no restaurant on-site, but a variety of dining options are within a short driving distance.
