Horible place to stay - posted on 05/18/2007

This place was a dump. I was misled by La Quinta Riverview. The sheets weren't changed daily and there was a dirty smell. The room wasn't clean upon arrival. The carpet was filthy. I will NEVER stay here again.

Never again! - posted on 04/23/2007

We tried to save a few bucks by staying here, what a mistake!! They gave us a non-smoking King room on the older part of the hotel. When we opened the door, the smell almost knowcked us over! We asked for another room, all they had was 2 double beds!! This was our Anniversary! The people at the front we ALWAYS on their cell phones. We had the fire alarm go off at 6am & no one knew what was going on...the elevators didn't work. Never again will we stay there. It's OK for young kids that don't need much.

terrible bait and switch - posted on 03/07/2007

We've stayed in this hotel previously. Very nice. Obviously they have at least 2 level rooms. I got a terrible room in a secondary building. It was old, run down, and dingy. What a shaft!

Nice Place To Visit - posted on 04/05/2006

The trip was great because of us going down for the Cooper River Run. The only and really bad thing about our trip was that we had no water on our first night and it was returned on until early morning. Other then that we ran the race on had a good time.

Loved It!!! - posted on 03/08/2006

We stayed here as a spur of the moment decision. After checking into our much more expensive hotel, we decided to leave it and come back here. We really enjoyed our stay, and the Cont. Breakfast was excellent!! We recommend the view from the 4th floor Riverside King Room!!

Nice hotel, but... - posted on 12/30/2005

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and the hot breakfast was very nice. The only downer was that the double beds. I was rolling off the edges!

I am originally from Charleston and stayed at this hotel because of it's location. It is not your typical Hampton Inn. A little lower scale, I guess. I would stay here again if it were a good deal. However, there are others in the area that have comparible prices for nicer ammenities.

Perfect Location & Value! - posted on 04/11/2005

For anyone who is looking for a great value & close to Historic Charleston & her islands - this is the hotel for you! Hotel overlooks a beautiful marina & the service/rooms were great. Easy access to hwys/beaches/dwtn! Great value!!!

disappointed - posted on 12/21/2004

Not your typical Hampton Inn. My room had an exterior entrance, which made for a noisy night, and had the features more along the likes of a lesser chain. My complaint to the desk about a lack of hot water was not attended to before check out, but they did stand behind their satisfaction guarantee. I will definitely not stay again.
