My husband & I just visited Charleston for the first time & stayed at the Harbor View Inn. This hotel was exceptional. The rooms were clean & the staff very accomodating. Will definately stay here again.

Great Hotel. The room was really nice, and the location can't be beaten. I will stay there any time. There is an additional $15 parking charge.

It's nice to call for your car without having to tell them who you are and what you drive. Evening milk & cookies were a nice touch, too.

This hotel is in a fabulous location within walking distance of most attractions. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is nicely appointed with large clean rooms. The view of the harbor is fantastic. My favorite thing was the fresh cookies every night.

clean hotel with great breakfast and nice views of marina. paper-thin walls and loud couple next door was unacceptable. hotel security did respond once informed, to their credit.

My husband and I spent 2 days in Charleston and have stayed in many downtown hotels. The price is right for what you get! we found our room to be comfortable and clean, and the staff was very helpful with whatever we needed. We really enjoyed the Happy Hour provided free of charge. It was the perfect spot after a long day walking around the city!

The best hotel in Charleston. The staff was fantastic. The location across from the Harbor was beautiful.

The rooms were dirty, the air condition did not work, the continental breakfast was a joke, and the staff were not friendly; they didn't even ask us how our stay was when we checked out! The only nice thing was the Valet parking (for $15.00 a night); they bring you your car everytime you need it.

This hotel is small, intimate but high quality. Great location -- right in the center of things but just enough removed to give you a little breather from all the tourist action. Request a room on the first floor -- gathering room with fireplace, jars of candy and milk and cookies before bedtime.

If Charleston were not such a beautiful city, my wife and I would have spent every free minute in our hotel room. Everything was perfect--the great breakfasts and snacks, the great view of the harbour, the beautiful room, and the outstanding service. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Charleston.

Very disappointed. Booked based on four diamond & AAA rating. First room overlooked electrical site. Pd. $60 to get another room. Cheap shower/tub with mold. Walls in hall were patched. Not what I call four diamonds.

The room, service, ammenities and location were outstanding. Excellent staff. I could not have been more pleased. Great hotel and great people. I will definitely stay here on my next visit.

took my husband to this wonderful hotel, we both loved it. The staff made our stay very special and we will definitely come back.The room they gave us had a spectacular view of the harbour, it was great.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel and will stay here again. The valets were awesome. Our only complaint was one rude girl at the front desk when we checked in and again when we checked out. Other folks working the front desk in the p.m. were great!

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the HVI. The staff was very friendly and eager to help us. The room we had was very nice. The location is perfect for walking around the historic district and to resturants. We would definately make plans to return to this hotel the next time we are in Charleston.

I stayed in the Harbourview inn with a friend of mine during our spring break from college. We had the spa package, which I highly recommend for a relaxing vacation. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond on many occasions (they even cleaned out my car when it got flooded during an outing I made to market street during high tide). The rooms were immaculate and the entire experience a pleasant one. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning on a trip to Charleston. Also, the hotel had a very romantic vibe, so I recommend some of you couples give it a try.

We decided to trust the AAA rating and stayed the night at HVI. The room was very understated for the price. The lack of towels and robes in our room was disappointing. It took the front desk over 90 minutes and two calls to get a response. The staff was overwhelmed with the number of guests that checked in at the designated time and we ended up carrying our own bags. On the plus side, the view was beautiflul and the location was very nice.
