Visitors to Charleston can also enjoy some of the many historic religious buildings. The first is the Congregation Beth Elohim. It’s the second oldest synagogue in the United States and the oldest in continuous use. The current structure was built in 1840 and is considered one of the country's finest examples of Greek Revival architecture. The second is the Circular Congregation Church. Organized in 1681 the unique circular building was built in 1806. The current structure was built in 1891. The Circular Church established the first Sunday School in South Carolina.

The dining options are outstanding in Charleston. Get your fill of southern-style cuisine or experience a bit of France. Whatever your preference, you’ll love the options available. As diverse as your meals might be, the shopping will impress you even more. Go along King Street and explore the antique shops. There are many amazing places to do a bit of window shopping including Saks Fifth Avenue and Gucci.
Just outside the borders of Charleston you’ll find fantastic beaches for you to catch a few rays. The Magnolia Plantation and Audubon Swamp Garden is also near by. The gardens are worth exploring as is the magnificent main house and other buildings on the property.
