As I was passing through SC on I-85 I found this Holiday Inn Express in Anderson, SC. They had a guest appreciation program they were running that night which included chicken, hot dogs and soda - just what I needed after an 8 hour road trip coming from Florida. The rooms were clean and efficient. The biggest plus was that they didn't charge for internet like some of the larger hotels.
Attentive staff and very clean rooms.
They definitely can do with some flat screen tvs.

As a frequent guest at this hotel, I highly recommend it to those who are traveling or staying for visits in the nearby area. The beds are relatively new and very comfortable. There are several food establishments close by and a gas station next door. The management and staff have always been friendly and provide a pleasant experience. They have a board that greets you and your party by name. Breakfast is hot or cold--and included eggs, bacon, biscuits, and gravy (for southerners a great plus!). I will continue to stay there whenever visiting nearby family.
It is located close to my family, but it is extremely well-managed, nice, clean, and has comfortable beds and better than average accommodations.
It could use an outside kennel for people traveling with pets or visiting from out of town.

Visitors to Anderson who stayed at this Holiday Inn Express said they got good value for their money. The friendly front desk personnel were full of helpful information about places to visit and where to shop and dine. The accommodation was spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Many clients were here for fishing tournaments on nearby Lake Hartwell and said this hotel proved to be an ideal place to stay with an excellent complimentary breakfast and a pleasant outdoor swimming pool.
