Easy access to/from highway. Very accommodating staff. With a restaurant/bar, swimming pool and exercise room you don't have to step outside for anything. Especially if the weather outside is not behaving. However, it is a bit away from the major area of downtown Providence. Weather permitting, you could walk to it all, but you would be better off hopping the trolley or taking a cab. Rooms are a good size with a large, working table.

Staff extremely helpful. Free parking. Site amenities.

A bit away from things, but trolley comes by. Also, in good weather you can certainly walk to the main events.

Our experience was wonderful. The hotel was plush and spotless. The service was fine. All the personnel that we dealt with were extremely helpful and polite. I actually believe that they wanted us to have a pleasant experience. I am spoiled now and will not want to stay in less that 3 star accommodations.

Fabulous experience and the price was great. Very clean. Extremely attentive and polite staff.

The temptation to spend $4.00 on bottled H2O.

The 349-room Providence Marriott Downtown is a full-service, pet friendly hotel providing luxury accommodation at an affordable price for both the business traveler and families on vacation. The six-story, non-smoking property has 13 meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest, the grand ballroom can accommodate 450 guests. The hotel has easy access to the Interstate system and is a short drive from the cities of Williamsburg, Hampton, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach. This hotel was getting some poor reviews. Now that has changed the rooms have been renovated and the new AQUA nightspot by the pool has added some zest to the property. The employees provide the best in service and many clients thought the rates reasonable. Most guests now say they will stay here again and recommend the hotel to others.
