Middletown Hotels and City Guide

Middletown is the place to go for a beach holiday. If building sandcastles and beach volleyball are your idea of a fantastic holiday, Middletown is for you. It’s home to both Second and Third Beach (the First beach is found in Newport). Sachuset Beach, also known as Second Beach, is over a mile of fantastic sand. Third Beach is less than a mile from the Second beach and is found close to the Sakonnet River. This is a great place to find tiny creatures that call the water home. Plus, there always seems to be a lovely breeze here. One of the other interesting sites in Middletown is Purgatory Chasm. It’s an unusual rock formation that is very interesting to see, although it can be quite dangerous if you don’t watch your step.
