If you are looking for a hotel near the Pittsburgh airport in anticipation of an early-morning or late-night flight, you cannot beat the Pittsburgh Airport Hyatt. You don't even need to take a free shuttle -- the hotel is actually connected to the airport! In addition, the hotel is actually pretty nice. Front desk staff were helpful and courteous, and I was able to check in a few hours earlier than the stated check-in time. My room was nicely furnished in a modern style with two double beds, each with attractive wood headboard and decorative pillows and bed skirt. Bathroom was a decent size, and the water pressure in the shower was good. The hotel also provides courtesy copies of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette at your door in the morning and lays out copies of the current day's paper on the tables by the elevator so you can pick up a paper on the day of your arrival. Only downer (other than the fact that the view out the window is of long-term parking -- but what do you expect??) was that the clock alarm went off at 4 a.m. It would be great if the cleaning staff could check to make sure alarm clocks are turned back to 'off' between guests. Overall, a great hotel.

the chemicals (and orange solution) used to clean the rooms was a bit overpowering (also, would prefer coke products in vending machine)

This hotel is a great option for the airport traveler. You can get there the night before an early flight and walk right into the airport. The restaurant is good if not the most attractive, lively bar, the wait staff is overly friendly and not so skilled, but the chef is good. The wait staff seems to be constantly cleaning, spraying table tops, etc. While you are eating. Rooms are very nice, very Hyatt, good quality.

Great room, great bath.

Parking! Very expensive.

When you stay at this hotel, you will be connected to the Pittsburgh International Airport via a moving walkway that leads straight to this Hyatt Regency. It doesn't get much easier than this, and it won't be found at any other Pittsburg hotel. Not even those close to the airport. Location is hardly the only way this hotel stands out. The perfect stop for travelers on business, or vacationers looking for outstanding area lodging, you'll find the shuttle to nearby points of interest fast and convenient. This is a very convenient location for travelers, particularly those facing bad weather conditions on the roads. Something to keep in mind however is that this is an upscale airport hotel and things, like room service and parking, might be more expensive. Because people may flock here after flight cancellations or delays, you might also be looking at some longer lines or wait times for services. Crowds wont impact how well you sleep though. Guests have wonderful things to say about the level of quiet in a hotel so close to an airport.
