The 402-room Marriott Pittsburgh City Center provides quality accommodation for the upmarket leisure and business traveler. The 14-story, non-smoking hotel is directly across from the Mellon Arena and a short walk to the citys business district and downtown shopping. The Marriott gets many good reviews about the comfortable, clean accommodation and a team of employees who are eager to please. There were some complaints about the hotel not being downtown while others, here to see an event at the Mellon Arena, which is across the street, said it was ideal. Words of advice from those who have stayed here: Avoid the rooms that end in 10. They are across from the ice machines, which operate 24 hours a day. The hotel gets many repeat customers, which is a great recommendation.
