Great Hotel - posted on 04/25/2007

This was a great hotel, only problem without a car, transportation was an issue. Not within walking distance of anything, so needed cab to get anywhere.

Pittsburgh Radisson - posted on 01/14/2007

The staff was great from front desk to bell staff. The food in the resturant and room service was excellant. The beds were older and the pillows somewhat uncomfortable but it was a great value for the price

I would highly recommend this hotel. From now on, the Radisson will be our hotel of choice. It was quiet and clean and the service we received was great.

Our day in Pittsburgh - posted on 08/16/2006

Hotel is clean, beds comfortable; The indoor/outdoor pool is a very nice feature. We stayed one night and did not dine at the hotel, except for the quick breakfast. Our only complaint is the room air conditioning which is very noisy when it first comes on.

Good value, close to Pittsburgh - posted on 08/08/2006

This is a large hotel. Rooms standard, well equipped, clean. Bathrooms small but clean. Reasonably good service (some front desk staff inexperienced but pleasant). Nice indoor/outdoor pool. Many functions--ask for a room that doesn't overlook pool, patio if you don't like noise. Need more waitstaff in restaurant (our waitress was GREAT but overworked) & more staff to clean up after weddings, etc.--it's not nice to see overflowing trash cans, etc. Food at breakfast was very good. Get good directions--hotel is convenient but can be a bit hard to find.

great stay - posted on 07/04/2006

Have stayed several times and enjoyed my stay. X was the housekeeper at my last visit and was great. Everyone is very pleasant. We had a leak in our sink, and it was fixed in about 1/2 hour after I called. My only suggestion...the carpets look a little old and the wall behind the sinks need cleand (at all of my visits, there was toothpaste on the wall.)

Good Location - posted on 06/30/2006

We stayed for 3 nights to catch the White Sox play the Pirates at PNC Park. Very nice rooms with small bathrooms. Ask for a room with a good view. Our view was a temporary fabric dome for the health club next door. They have a very nice pool facilities (indoor and outdoor) with lifeguards. This was probably our first and last trip to Pittsburgh.

great hotel!!! - posted on 06/12/2006

this hotel was great! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only problem we had was that we didn't get more cups and coffee supplies in our room for two days and I like my coffee. The pool was very nice and the workout area was as well.

Pleasant Visit - posted on 06/04/2006

Our stay was very nice for the price. It is important to me that I do not see evidence that other people have used the room (i.e hairs in bathroom). I found our room very clean and comfortable. I would come back to stay here.

keep an eye on your bill... - posted on 10/11/2005

We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Radisson Green Tree--the sleep number bed was fun, the city was easy to get to, but when it came time to check out they tried to charge us over $70 for Internet service that we hadn't used. It only took speaking to a desk clerk to correct the bill, but they were a little snippy about what was obviously their mistake--we didn't even bring a computer! A nice hotel, but read your bill carefully.

Very Accommodating - posted on 09/20/2005

I needed to check in early and the front desk staff made me feel welcome the first second I stepped in the door. The front desk clerks were VERY pleasent. The cleaning staff said good morning and everyone went out of their way to be firendly. I took my puppy and they were friendly with her as well.

great place to stay close to Pittsburgh - posted on 08/15/2005

As a young child my parents would stay at this hotel when it use to be a Marriot. The hotel is still kept in great shape, and it has a beautiful pool area for kids and Adults. All the staff we met is friendly and the rooms were clean. Getting to and from Pittsburghs major attractions is a breeze. We also like to stay here because the Olive Garden restraunt is close by.

an ode to pittsburgh - posted on 07/22/2005

From the time that I arived at the hotel I was treated with nothing but kindness. It is very close to the city and if you just want to run out to buy soda and dough nuts (not that you would ;-) There are stores right down the street. Me and my girl friend had a great time.

Pets are Welcomed - posted on 07/20/2005

Hotel is close to Pittsburgh central (15 min.) and perfect for visiting parents of students. Has an indoor/outdoor pool. They also welcome pets, unusual for a facility this nice. Restaurant is first class and easily handles a group.

Nice for families - posted on 07/18/2005

We stayed at this hotel because it's close to our family, whom we were visiting. The rooms were clean and comfy and we couldn't beat the price! We didn't dine or swim at the hotel - but many folks were and seemed to enjoy both.

Great stay - posted on 07/12/2005

We had a blast. My family and I stayed here almost two weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. The pool and workout facilities are great and even made me work out some. The beds were very uncomfortable but they are in the process of installing "sleepnumber" mattresses in all the rooms. But the best part was our housekeeper, Patti. She was fantastic! Our room was always spotless and she even gave us extra towels and glasses! Wonderful stay and I will definitely go there again.

Strictly business - posted on 05/01/2005

The Radisson at GreenTree is located in a great place. Just outside the Fort pitt Tunnels and close to Station Square. However, unless you are renting a car accessiblity to downtown and the surrounding area will be limited. A ten dollar cab ride downtown isn't bad if you are in a pinch. It is very quiet and i would recommend it for those on business travel. The wait staff for dining in has some flaws but the food was good. Nearest shopping is 10 minutes by road. I enjoyed my stay but if you are looking for more than restful nights try the North Side or Downtown.
