one of the better hotels we've stayed at. the service was excellent, like you'd expect in a good hotel. Very friendly, and very attentive and helpful. Its an old hotel, but for the most part very well taken care of. A little dirty in spots, but being old its hard to make it perfect.
Omni William Penn Hotel is Wonderful! - posted on 12/04/2006
We found the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh to be wonderful! The lobby is magnificent and takes one back in time with its elegance. The rooms are spacious and the beds are quite comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of many of the city's venues. Pittsburgh is a beautiful city, and we will return!
NICE FOLKS, NICE PLACE, NICE PEOPLE - posted on 11/30/2006
We enjoyed our stay at the Omni WP. Pittsburgh is a wonderful city with lots of small-town charm. The hotel mirrors so much of that. We felt like we had discovered a great new neighborhood. Not many hotels are up for that honor.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff was very helpful, and they have afternoon tea. Convenient location to all of downtowm Pittsburgh.
Good Hotel in Downtown - posted on 09/10/2006
Great Hotel in good downtown Pittsburgh location that displays the historical ambiance that made Pittsburgh the corporate powerhouse of the industrial era. Great Lobby, good check in, friendly staff, solid bed and furnishings. The bathrooms need redone and a few pieces of furniture are dog-eared, but the good outweighs the bad. Park across the street yourself to save some $$. Its easy, close, and saves 10-15 bucks.
never again - posted on 08/23/2006
my husband and I drove up from N.C. for a Steeler's football game. We choose this hotel because of the history and location. We arrived at 3:30 pm, thinking this was well past check in time, only to be notified of a "large party checking out late". Due to this we were unable to check in untill 7 pm. After this inconvinience, we were pretty much "blown off" by the staff. They never offered any type of compensation such as something to eat, drink, etc. Beautiful hotel but horrible service
Elegance - posted on 08/23/2006
The hotel was very elegant. From the time you walk in to check in until you check out was fabulous. The staff was very professional, the food was excellant and the room was beautiful and very comfortable... and clean.

Great fitness center that is open 24 hrs. Two different rest. that you can eat in. Morning beverages to your door that comes with your paper. Very helpful staff and wonderful housekeeping! Mia on the 9th floor is a joy. Very close to stadiums and theatre district!

This hotel actually lives up to its advertising. The rooms are ample and the service is reliable and fast. The food in the hotel restaurant is delicious and served in an elegant atmosphere. A great place to stay for business or pleasure.

We received an off-season rate and were really suprised. The bed had a down comforter instead of those nasty bedspreads. Robes available in the room. Great water pressure in the room. Gym was very impressive with 4 treadmills, a variety of weight stations (at least 10), and other aerobic machines
An awesome weekend stay at the Omni - posted on 03/15/2006
My family of 4 stayed at the Pittsburgh Omni for 2 nights during March Break. As we stepped inside the hotel, the grand and classic lobby with live piano music immediately revealed the 4-star hotel rating. As an Omni Select Guest, I got a suite for half price and a complimentary upgrade. We absolutely LOVED the awesome 516 sq.feet one-bedroom suite. Besides, Omni provides complimentary WiFi Internet service. In Pittsburgh, I always stayed at the Hilton for the lovely river view and Westin for its convenience. Now I think Omni will be my first choice.

We stayed on the 12th floor in a corner suite. The view of the city was wonderful. This hotel is very elegant, but not stuffy. The Terrace Room has wonderful food and service. I will stay there next time I'm in Pittsburgh.

We go there yearly for our anniversary and have never been disappointed. It is always beautiful and well-kept, a reminder of a grander age.

We have stayed at the Willam Penn for business and pleasure and have enjoyed each stay. The hotel has a great location to the hot spots in the city. The beds are very comfortable - check out always comes too quickly. We will stay at the William Penn on our return trips to the Burgh.

This is a great hotel. From having our bags taken from our car to our room. Late night dining. Great experience!!!
Convenience and Comfort - posted on 08/22/2005
The hotel is beautiful and the restaurants, fitness room and coffee shop add to the charm and convenience. Be prepared for a $24.00 a day parking charge (valet) with in-and-out privileges. The hotel staff is prompt and helpful, but I wouldn't say friendly. The room was large, comfortable and quiet. The air conditioning could have worked better. Overall, it was a great experience and I would stay again.

Great Hotel with excellent atmosphere. Parking garage is located directly across the street for the price of $5.00. Valet parking is $24.00. However, the location makes it possible to walk to many areas of the city. Close to the cultural district. Bathrooms are a bit small, but rooms are otherwise nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was huge and 4 star quality with turn down service. Only problem with that was the maid forgot to close the door one night. Staff was very apologetic. Parking was convenient and reasonable with a public deck across the street.
Wedding Party - posted on 05/05/2005
Stayed here for a wedding. Some 40 rooms had been blocked out for the event. Called central reservations. Told no availability the evening of wedding. Only after numerous phone calls were we able to book the rooms required! Bellstaff were not very helpful. Rooms and room service great. Expensive restaurant tariff can be overcome by dining outside the hotel at numerous convenient locations.
Took Great Care of Our Kids - posted on 03/30/2005
We stayed at the hotel with our three- and one-year old boys. The staff catered to them and took great care of our kids. They provided all sorts of little touches, like milk and cookies for the boys brought to our room in the afternoon. The service was great, the food was excellent (though very expensive for a family), and the room was huge and comfortable.
They'll make you feel like a queen! - posted on 01/17/2005
The service is wonderful, starting with the moment you pull up in front of this hotel! The bellhop, valet, front desk clerk were all wonderful, made me feel like a queen. However -- the staff in the lounge is EXTREMELY slow, and a bit rude. The dining room service was also VERY slow, but polite and professional. Food was overpriced, but that's nothing new!
