The is the perfect hotel in the perfect location. Located at the edge of Oakland, it is only minutes to all of the key places in Pittsburgh including downtown. If you don't have a car or don't want to drive, there is a free shuttle leaving every hour to take you or retrieve you from you local destination. The rooms have been recently updated and are immaculate. There is high speed internet for your computer or a public use computer in the lobby. The service is excellent. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and eager to please. There is a hot breakfast buffet every morning that is included in your price.

Hampton Inn Pittsburgh-University Center Accommodations

These rooms are packed everything you need to have a comfortable stay. There are smoking and non-smoking floors. They use new "Cloud Nine" bedding on your choice of the size and arrangement of beds that work for you. An added perk is the view. Because of how the hotel is situated on the hill at the top of the Blvd. of the Allies, there are sweeping views of the city in almost every direction.

Amenities offered

There is free wireless high-speed internet in the rooms. Also, the nice to have iron/ironing board, coffee maker, hairdryer, alarm clock and two-line phone. There is a fitness room but if you require more, they have complementary passes to the local fitness center.

From Airport and points West: Take Route 60 South to Interstate 279 North. Go through Fort Pitt Tunnels and cross the Fort Pitt Bridge. Take Exit for Interstate 376 East towards Monroeville. Follow 376 East to Exit # 2A, bear right on to Forbes Avenue. Go to first traffic light, make a right onto Craft Avenue, then make first right onto Hamlet Street. Hotel entrance is on right. From Philadelphia and points East: Take PA Turnpike 76 West to Pittsburgh/Monroeville Exit # 57. Take 376 West towards Pittsburgh. Take Exit 3B (Oakland). At stop sign make a right onto Bates Street. At first traffic light make a left onto Boulevard of the Allies. Go to second traffic light and make a right onto Craft Avenue. Then make second left onto Hamlet Street. Hotel entrance is on right.
