This is a clean, good hotel right off the PA turnpike. It's close to everything and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They seemed concerned about our comfort. The pool has limited hours during weekdays, opening at 5:00 pm.

Good pool area and spa. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

The air conditioner had visible mold in it.

The Springhill Suites is an excellent hotel for family getaways. The lobby and rooms are well kept, with attractive modern designs and contemporary artwork. The rooms were spacious, clean, with a comfortable bed mattress, although the sheets seemed slightly old. The free in room internet and lobby printer were a definite plus. The breakfast was average, but good for the $$ you save. We saved around $75 on our 3 day trip. Nice big screen LCD in breakfast area for morning news, complimentary paper at your doorstep included. The pool was heavy on the chlorine, but clean. The gym area was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and attentive to you needs. Overall, this was an excellent place to stay for our trip to Pittsburgh (excellent access to downtown and north side) and would not even consider alternatives on future visits for myself. This place should be a min 3.5 star in or around NYC.

The 86 all-suites Springhill Suites by Marriott Monroeville is located close to I-376 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike and provides stylish studio suites well suited to both the business and leisure traveler. The four-story, non-smoking property is within easy driving distance of the Monroeville Shopping Mall, the Sandcastle Water Park, Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium. Items included with the room rate are an expanded continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking, morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel is within easy driving distance of seven golf courses, the University of Pittsburgh and the Expo Mart.

All the suites have a pantry area with a small refrigerator, sink and microwave oven. Other features are a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, cable television with movie channels, wet bar, pullout sofa bed, toaster, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer.

The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and whirlpool, which is open form 7am until 10pm. There is no fitness center on site but there are two centers two miles from the hotel. The complimentary continental breakfast is the only meal served here but there are numerous places to eat nearby including an Applebees, an Outback Steakhouse and a Golden Corral. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes, information on area events and attractions, and a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel. There is a coin-operated laundry, vending machines and a fax and copying machine for guest use.

Great hotel, with great prices and a great team of employees: That was the opinion of many former guests at this Marriott property. Families enjoyed the pool and businessmen liked the easy ride into Pittsburgh. Downside is the fact the property is close to a tollbooth on the expressway. Tip from clients who have stayed: Request an even numbered room that faces away from the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
