The 106-room Fairfield Inn by Marriott Lancaster is located in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Dutch and Amish country. The three-story, non-smoking modern motor inn is five miles from downtown Lancaster and six miles from Lancaster Airport providing sensibly priced accommodation for the businessman or families on vacation. Items included with the room rate are an expanded continental breakfast with the Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The inn is close to several heritage museums, including the Landis Valley Farm Museum. Shopping options include many outlet stores, antique shops and handcraft stores. There are eight golf courses within a short drive. Other attractions nearby include the Choo Choo Barn – Traintown U.S.A., Mount Hope Estate and Winery and the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre.

Quiet, clean and comfortable: Many former guests to this property used these adjectives to describe their stay. Several noted that there were less expensive hotels in the area but the additional money spent here was worthwhile. The employees, particularly those at the front desk, were commended for being helpful and efficient. The standard rooms offer a choice of one king-size bed or two double beds. The studio-suites have a choice of one king-size or two queen-size beds and a sofa bed. The executive rooms have the added benefit of a sitting area, sleeper sofa, microwave oven and small refrigerator. All the accommodation has a work desk with high-speed Internet access, 27-inch television with cable movie channels, pay-per-view movies, coffee maker, alarm clock, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and telephone with voicemail.

The hotel has an outdoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool and exercise room. The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are several places to eat nearby including a Chili’s, Clyde’s Café at the Hilton Garden Inn and Isaac’s Deli. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area attractions and events. Other amenities include vending machines, a coin-operated laundry, dry cleaning service and a fax and copying machine available for guest use.

From Lancaster Airport (LNS) 6 miles: Follow Route 501 South to Route 30 West. Follow Route 30 West to Route 283 West. Follow Route 283 West to the first exit, Route 72 Manheim Pike. As you exit stay to your right following Route 72 North. Follow Route 72 North to the first traffic light making a right hand turn onto Granite Run Drive. The hotel is on your left.
