The 81 all-suites SpringHill Suites by Marriott Portland Airport provides moderately priced accommodation to suit both the leisure and business traveler. The five-story, non-smoking hotel is three miles from the city’s international airport and provides a complimentary shuttle. Other items included in the room rate are a breakfast buffet, a choice of morning newspapers, local telephone calls, high-speed Internet access, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel has two meeting rooms for social or business functions. The largest can accommodate 27 guests. The property is nine miles from downtown Portland and a 20-minute drive from the city’s Chinese Gardens. Other area attractions and landmarks include five golf courses, the International Rose Test Gardens overlooking Mount Hood, the Portland Saturday Market, the Columbia River Gorge and the Washington Park and Oregon Zoo.

All the suites have a pantry area with a sink, mini-refrigerator and microwave oven. There is a well-lit work desk with high-speed Internet access, cable television with news and movie channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone with voicemail, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. The bathrooms have a separate shower and the bathtubs have spray jets.

This hotel has an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and an exercise room. The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are several restaurants nearby including Capers Café, Sidelines Sports Bar and Sally’s Seafood Restaurant.
