The 241-room Crowne Plaza Downtown is within walking distance of the Oregon Convention Center and provides top quality accommodation for both the business and pleasure traveler. Items included with the room rate at this nine-story, non-smoking hotel are high-speed Internet access, a shuttle to nearby attractions, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and in-room tea and coffee. The property is located off Interstate 5 and has 11 meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 630 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include the Portland State University, the Rose Garden Coliseum, Portland Meadows racetrack, the Oregon Zoo, the Columbia River Gorge, Multnomah Greyhound Racetrack, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, the Portland Art Museum and shopping at Lloyds Center, Oregon's largest and oldest shopping mall which is one mile from the hotel.

This hotel was a Holiday Inn. It has now been totally renovated and upgraded to a Crowne Plaza. Many guests liked it as the Holiday Inn and thinks it has improved greatly – but so have the rates. The rooms here are well equipped, spacious and spotlessly clean. The professional team of employees handles problems promptly and has good advice about sightseeing, shopping and dining. The location is excellent within walking distance of some of the city’s top tourist attractions. Holiday Inn Portland Downtown Accommodations

All the guestrooms and two suites have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, television with cable movie and news channels, CD player, coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave oven, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and two dual-line telephones with voicemail and speakerphone. The suites and executive level rooms have bathrobes, an in-room safe and a DVD player.

The on-site Palm Garden Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and room service is available from 6am until 10pm. The Speckled Rooster cocktail lounge is open from 4pm until midnight and has a large flat screen television. There is an indoor heated swimming pool, fitness center and a whirlpool.
