This hotel was outstanding for the price. I would for sure stay at this hotel again. I walked from the amtrak station to the hotel. And the bonus was that the Whole Food Store is one block away!!!

Centrally located and friendly staff. Clean rooms with large areas. Very good hotel for the price. Morning breakfast was a treat.

nice suite with a kithenette.Great wine stores,delis, grocer with in walking distance. Great nite life right outside the door. Fantastic staff. Roof top garden. Can't be beat for the price.

The Mark Spencer is a good value. While they've clearly upgraded the interior to a comfortable level, and our suite was a nice size, it still felt like an old men's SRO hotel & smelled a bit funky. Neighborhood is in the process of renewal. Staff was very pleasant & helpful. Twice we were awakened by head-banging construction raging just below our window. When we complained, the manager stopped all morning work, at least for the duration of our stay. Pluses: rates, central location, room size.

As you might read in the commentary abou the hotel, they offer "FREE" wireless internet. Well, it wasn't free, it was $6.00 per day. This isn't a lot of money, but when I asked about the "FREE" interenet service they was extremely rude.
