Customer Reviews for Hilton Portland & Executive Tower

A Great Stay - posted on 09/18/2005

Stayed in the Executive Tower. Wonderful beds, quiet, rooms were nice sized and clean. Great downtown location within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, city attractions. No complaints!

Executive Tower - posted on 04/12/2005

I stayed here twice in last 9 months. The Executive tower is the way to go...the rooms in the main building are outdated and small, including the suites. Definately ask for the tower rooms...they are worth the extra price.

Not the bet hilton in the world - posted on 04/02/2007

This was an OK Hilton hotel. Having just come from the Hilron NYC, this was a lower standard. Elevators were clanky and sounded if they would break. Food was good, but not outstanding. Staff was excellent.

Too many add on charges - posted on 01/12/2007

The front desk staff was great - very helpful. However, the description doesn't mention that the fitness center is an additional $10 per day and the high speed internet is an additional $10 per day. The fitness center charge seemed gratuitous. Also, the ventilation system could use some work. When I turned on the heating system in the morning it triggered a massive allergy attack for me. Otherwise, the location was great, and the room was super quiet, which is a wonderful thing, as some hotels can be noisy.

Less than expected - posted on 11/09/2006

We really wanted to be in downtown Portland this visit to see friends. The staff is not very friendly, sometimes standoffish. We had a problem with cold eggs, and our server said she would take care of it. But that was it. Nothing was done. We expected more. The whole breakfast did not even pretend to be warm Very disappointed in the cold breakfast and the lack of follow through when we told the server.

Poor plumbing and service - posted on 08/30/2006

The commode would not flush all night. The Hilton mechanics tried to fix twice. There was urine/refuse on the floor. Currently The Hilton is arguing over reimbursing me.

Don't order the room service! - posted on 08/03/2006

We had a nice time here, with the exception of the room service. They were unorganized, late, and we were missing some of our meals. They offered to comp the meal, but it came with our package so we had already paid. Our experience at the restaurant was much better--skip the room service and head to the restaurant.

WOW!!! - posted on 04/25/2006

Upon arriving in Portland, we received an immediate upgrade, putting us in the HiltonExecutive Tower. Room was appointed very nicely. Although right in the middle of the downtown area, it was so very quiet. Bed was best we have slept in. Room was large, well appointed, All the right touches. Air conditioning ran silently, not banging on and off. My wife and I will go back and stay longer. A real $$$value.

Romantic, but missing something... - posted on 06/30/2005

Everything was so great, and my partner and I had a very romantic time. We enjoyed all aspects of the hotel, except one. We like to enjoy the day, as it happens, and then we were excpecting to come to the hotel and relax in the hot tub. However, we did not realize that the pool and hot tub areas closed at ten. We both agreed that peak pool times would be in the evening, as to wind down and relax. Having the pool and hot tub available, would have made the experience a perfect one.
