Way To Costly - posted on 03/04/2007
The ceilings are crusted with water damage. The room service costs as much as meal at Spagos... and is no where near Wolfgang Puck. Internet costs an additional 10 bucks a day and breakfast was surely not complimentary.

The Hyatt Capital was a very nice hotel. The people were very accomadating. The room was very large with a nice view of the Capital. It is only a few blocks to the historic German Village which I would highly recommend to anyone who stays here.
Loved the room, BUT - posted on 06/28/2006
I requested a King size bed in my reservation, which I purchased a month in advance, but when I went to check in they told me they did not have any. Not until I made a scene did they suddenly come up with a beautiful room which overlooked the capital building. The rest of our stay was very nice.

My airline lost my luggage, and the staff at the Hyatt were so helpful. They did everything they could to normalize my day/night, and were extremely friendly.
An Average Hotel - posted on 04/26/2006
I was disappointed in our stay. The hotel restaurant was ridiculously expensive. We had breakfast there one morning and the total came to over $50.00! The food wasn't any better than IHOP. We could have saved ourselves a lot of $ by going there instead. Also disappointed that the hotel didn't validate parking tickets for the garage below ground.

The location was awsome. The overall polish of the room was dated, and parking was either valet or street (a garage/lot would have been nice).

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and well appointed. The only draw back was the cleaning products left and odd smell in the room. We were switched from our first room immediately and the second room was better, but after it was cleaned the next day we realized the odd smell must be from some cleaning product used. Otherwise, we were very happy.

The Hyatt is a wonderful place to get some rest. Nestled in between the Brewery District and the Arena District, everything is reachable within blocks.
good room, but... - posted on 08/23/2005
I had an overall positive experience, but the room was not cleaned. There was a cracker on the floor for 6 days and never swept up. There was a bobby pin in the carpet pile from a previous occupant. Felt like I had other people's garbage. Personnel were extremely good, helpful, efficient. Beds were very comfortable, I usually do not sleep well when in hotels, but I did this time.

This downtown hotel is across from the state capitol. It is connected to a shopping mall and parking is under the mall. Service is their main priority. They were very accomodating and the room was modern, clean and bright. Free full breakfast included, which was very nice. We had some difficulty because we were not given the correct vouchers. The restaurant honored it anyways, as they want their guests to be happy.
