Customer Reviews for Comfort Inn Downtown Cleveland

Home away from home - posted on 12/02/2006

I have been coming for the past three weeks and the staff made me feel like I was part of the family. The highspeed was very fast and the breakfast was exceptional.

Price is right - posted on 12/02/2006

To stay downtown and walk to a Cavs game for $80 was a steal. The staff made us feel at home and it just seemed like they cared. I will definitely be back.

Great Service - posted on 12/02/2006

Staff was great and the new rooms looked awesome. I got a free upgrade and really enjoyed the jacuzzi. The bed was triple sheeted which was an added bonus.

poor experience - posted on 08/13/2006

Hotel is undergoing renovations. Rooms that have not been completed are in very poor conditon. Rooms are missing room numbers, the carpets are dirty, and there was food stuck on our walls! We also received midnight crank calls. The management was pleasant and tried to be helpful, but the overall experience left alot to be desired.

The lobby was nice, but the rooms needed a makeover, and the hole place smelled like smoke.

never again - posted on 08/09/2006

from check in to check out, just a terrible hotel. Customer service - poor, terrible smell, hot and constant construction starting early AM - their own friendly wake-up call

It was ok for one night. The room was decent. The outer areas were awful. The basement parking was scary.

not that bad - posted on 10/02/2005

I read previous reviews on this hotel and none were good...however, my stay was not bad at all. Yes, the hotel was in MAJOR need of some cleaning but the price and location were perfect.

Cleanliness - posted on 03/25/2005

The place really needs some cleaning. There are so many cobwebs and the ceilings and the walls and the floors really need a spring cleaning. Other than the cleanliness, it isn't all that bad of a place to stay.

This place is scary! - posted on 02/01/2005

Well, they screwed up my pre-paid reservation that took hours to resolve! The shower water pressure was drip-dry, the wall paper was warped (water leakage/mold buildup), food (broccoli sprigs) left over in room from previous guests, and the place was generally a pigsty! Does Choice Hotels actually MONITOR their franchisees???

Really Bad - posted on 01/31/2005

It was bad. Washcloth had hair on it. Elevator wouldn't close right. Wallpaper was peeling off. Double door was was coming apart. Ice machine on 3rd floor didn't work. I don't know how they got a permit when the place is falling apart. Also there were teenagers running up and down the hall and knocking on doors. It was horrible. I would never stay or recommend that place to ANYBODY!!!
