Terrace is terrific! - posted on 10/23/2006
A great deal right downtown Cincy..close to everything. Parking easy and close. Would stay here again.
Great Stay - posted on 12/20/2006
The staff was very nice, felt very welcomed. Great selection on complimentary breakfast.
2nd worst hotel experience EVER - posted on 10/30/2006
Hotel charges for internet access and for all phone calls made from room. Walls desperately need to be painted, "double" beds ridiculously small, staff unknowledgeable about the area. Door to room hard to open, keys often didn't work.
Terror on the Terrace - posted on 10/30/2006
I only ended up with this hotel because it was one of the last ones that had availability on the date I needed at a reasonable price. I knew I took a chance with a three star. Urine smelled hallways, dirty sheets and blankets, dirty carpets, run down looking, phones didn't work. But great Customer Service. Would not stay there again.
It was ok - posted on 06/25/2006
This was probably once a very nice hotel - now the rooms just seem really run-down. The building's common areas - lobby, elevators, etc - are pleasant looking, which made it a surprise to walk into a room with floppy mattresses and a dirty, stained rug. Still, for the price and location, I would call it a good value.
Close to the ballpark! - posted on 06/15/2006
We stayed here to see the Cubs play the Reds. The ballpark was an easy walk from the hotel. The staff were friendly. We didn't want to pay $20 for valet parking and used a parking garage nearby. Sometimes it took a little while to get an elevator (reminded me of playing SimTower). It would have been nice to have a refridgerator in the room. I'd stay there again.
If you don't mind the holes in the sheets... - posted on 06/13/2006
You can't beat it for location and price - only about a hundred bucks and just a few blocks from the sports stadiums. If you can get past the holes in the sheets and blankets, two of the four room lamps not working, and don't care about sparkling clean accommodations, then this is the place for you! Next time, though, I'll spend an extra $80 and sleep a little easier at a nicer place.
Location, Location, Location - posted on 06/12/2006
Like most people have said, location for the price is the BEST thing this hotel has going for it. The decor, Persian/Middle Eastern in theme, is kind of tacky, but you can tell in its younger days, this hotel was beautiful. The rooms could use a makeover/upkeep. So if you know you'll be on the go and just need a place to sleep and bathe...this is a great place to stay.
would use again - posted on 05/29/2006
the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The people at the front desk were polite and next time I go to Cincinnati i will use them.
One Day Traveler's Stay - posted on 12/16/2005
Two friends and I stayed the night at The Terrace Hotel for a conference in downtown Cincinnati. Check-in was painless since we prepaid. Rooms were average. Hotel has wired internet, but it's not free. Service was good. We had a problem with our TV, and they immediately offered to move us into another room. Overall a good experience at an excellent price.

My husband and I are from the Cincinnati area, we stayed here for the Bengals game and for our 1 year wedding anniversary. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean. It was small in size, but for the reasonable price we can't complain. We had a King size bed which was nice. There was no refridgerater which would be a problem had we stayed more than one night, but it was nice overall, the temperature was terrible!! TOO HOT even with the air on.
Don't stay here! - posted on 11/11/2005
This place was the nastiest place I can recall staying in. The only place you could get a beverage was in the janitor's break room! There was no maid service available. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel at all cost.
small! - posted on 09/10/2005
They have the smallest rooms I have ever stayed in. The "double" beds are not double beds. More like twins sized. The bathroom was dirty. I had to wash the bathtub before I could take a shower! The water did not drain good. When i got done with my shower, the water was half way between my ankles and knees. The paint was peeling. Parking was expensive!
small and dirty - posted on 08/23/2005
The room was the smallest room I have ever stayed in! The paint was chipping off the walls. The "double" beds are more like twin beds. The mattresses are old, bouncy and very uncomfortable! The bathroom was very dirty. I had to wash out the tub before I could take a shower. The shower did not drain good. I had water half way between my ankles and knees when I was finished with my shower. The carpet looked like it was 20 years old, and it was very worn and looked dirty. Parking is VERY expensive!
Not the best hotel - posted on 07/10/2005
Hotel is under transition. In it's hay day I'm sure it was a beautiful hotel. Howerver now it's a little run down and under kept. We had issues with cockroaches in the restroom. Had to move us to a new room. Plaster on bathroom ceiling was falling down. It has potential if it was remodeled well. It already has a lot of granite, limestone, etc. Good boes just not maintained very well. It laso appears it may be transitioning under new ownership. Under construction, maybe it will be cleaned up then.
Good location - posted on 06/29/2005
The room was too hot. The parking too much. Otherwise we were pleased with the location and the room.
Great Location/Great Price - posted on 06/20/2005
I was VERY skeptical of what we would get from this hotel. It is a great downtown location. We couldn't get our fan to work for the A/C, so the room was not as cool as we would have liked (not hot by any means) and the beds are an odd size, not a typical double bed. It would be difficult for 2 adults to sleep comfortably. Otherwise, it was clean, the valet staff and front desk staff could not have been any nicer. Would definitely recommend, especially if you have activities you are attending in the downtown area.
better than expected - posted on 05/31/2005
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was nice, maybe a little small, but we had a 10 month old with us and it worked for us. The location is great if you need to be downtown. I would stay there again.
good time in cincy - posted on 05/11/2005
The hotel has a great location in reference to the stadiums, It is within walking distance. The staff from valet parking to checkout was excellent and very friendly and professional. The room was very clean, a little small, but ok.The only negative was the cost of overnight valet parking, $32.00 per night.
tap water stinks - posted on 05/09/2005
The location of this hotel is great but the building is showing its age. The water from the tap and shower stink. The water system needs to be completely overhauled. The bathroom plumbing was all scratched up and working poorly. They have not even cared enough to replace the aerator on the sink faucet which was completely rusted. The continental breakfast was pretty poor also.
Convenient, comfortable and good security - posted on 01/27/2005
My visit was pleasant. I felt safe and the room was nice and clean. It was well appointed and all devices worked well. The hotel is located in a very convenient location to downtown as well as U of C. All of the hotel personnel on staff were very helpful and courteous. I loved that when anyone approached the front desk, the clerk if on the phone, would ask them to hold a moment so she could immediately address the guest approaching the desk. I think this is very professional and will motivate me to return. Also, my daughter inadvertently left a couple of items behind and your cleaning personnel quickly got them to security/front desk and contacted my home. Thank you for your honest people and their efficiency. Some issues I would like to see addressed are 1. Room lighting is minimal and dim. Would like more 2. Bath/shower showing age, some dark, possibly moldy grout (1234) around tile. All in all, thank you for a good stay.
