Not so great - posted on 05/05/2007

We stayed here on a visit to UND for our daughter. The room was ok. The bathtub/shower was awful! The tub did not drain and we had to wait 1/2 before the next person could shower so we wouldn't be ankle deep in water. The 2nd day there was NO hot water! I did complain and got a few bucks off but I find this totally unaceptable!(spelling?)

VERY DIRTY - posted on 04/06/2007

ROOMS WERE VERY DIRTY AND NEED COMPLETE REMODEL, SIGNS ALL OVER APOLOGIZE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, ALL WE SAW WAS WALLPAPER REMOVED , BATHROOMS ARE TOO SMALL FOR A FAMILY ,YOU CAN BARELY CLOSE THE DOOR WHEN YOU AND YOUR CHILD ARE IN THERE , NO FRIDGES OR MICRO.S IN ROOMS ,A STRANGE WHITE FURRY SUBSTANCE WAS GROWING FROM THE CIRCA 1970 A/C VENTS ALSO VERY LOUD ,KNOBS WERE BROKEN ETC. POOL AREAS IS GREAT FOR SMALL KIDS , 5 YEAR WAS BORED AFTER 1 DAY . CAN'T WAIT FOR THE CANADINN TO OPEN AND BLOW THIS OUT OF THE WATER . $ US PER NIGHT POOL SIDE TOO MUCH FOR BRUTAL ROOM

Old,tired - posted on 08/24/2006

Hotel needs upgrading. Only avail hotel for college move-in weekend. Advertised waterpark is oriented toward young children. not adults and teens. Rooms could use microwaves and refrig. There are better choices in Grand Forks. Book early.
Needs Improvement: Update rooms

Probably not! - posted on 04/19/2006

The waterpark here is wonderful. The staff is fine. The building is TIRED-it feels like an anachronism. Needs a multi-million $ tune-up to free it from the '70s. Food is mediocre at best. Our grandchildren are 10, 9 and 5 and LOVED it--but we wouldn't get by with bringing them back here in 5 years. Teenagers would go crazy here. I say, Keep looking.

Kids enjoyed themselves - posted on 12/22/2005

Our family had a good time, although we were disapointed that the waterslide was only open on the first day of our stay. The kids really enjoyed the waterpark. Rooms were clean, facilities were ok.

Not worth the price - posted on 11/07/2005

In Grand Forks there are several much better options. This certainly was not worth $125/nt ($69 max.). 2-story, no elevator. Room was worn and patched. Considerable mildew around window and on bathroom ceiling panels. Room too hot and could not get cool. Shower choice was pressure or warm water - not both. PPV movies - LodgeNet. TV volume cut in and out. Good place for families - great waterpark. Really good Sunday Brunch for $8.95 + bev).

Not good - posted on 09/24/2005

This was our second bad experience with this hotel. Customer service is lacking, dirty room, moved to a suite at 1:00 a.m. for sink backing up.

The waterpark is fantastic. The suites need a good cleaning. Our room had dust covered peanuts on the carpet. There

Rooms are to small . foods is not the greatest kids eat free but you sure pay for it .The water park is ok but watch your kids and set the rules because the lifeguards just like to stand around and look good.

What a Great Time we Had - posted on 06/05/2005

The water park is a must for familys of all ages. MY kids are 1 and 3 and the kids park was perfect for them. The "big" kids will like the big pool with games and a big waterslide. The staff, and I mean all the staff, is fantastic. THE Place to stay in Grand Forks.

The only place to stay in town! - posted on 01/18/2005

This truly is the best place to stay in town. Its got a great new waterpark and the rooms are very nice and clean. The staff is very helpful and nice. The bar has a lot of activity with blackjack, pull tabs and bingo. The bar is open until 1:00 AM and is located away from all rooms, so noise is not an issue when you want to go to sleep. The prices are in line, if not better than all of the comparable places in town.
