Days Inn's signage is always very visible. We tried to find Days Inns wherever we went on our three and a half week holiday we took this summer. We appreciated this hotel's location (close to Columbia Mall). The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and they offer quality toilettries. The pool area was well maintained and temperature perfect. Good selection for continental breakfast, altho' fruit would have been a welcome addition in Grand Forks. In a busy season, seating here is a bit inadequate. For future bookings, we will choose Days Inn, absolutely

The lady in the breakfast room was one of the rudest people I've ever met. I told her that the coffee was too weak (many other guests agreed) and she brewed another pot in the exact same way and asked if it was better??! Pick staff wisely. They make a hotel stay good or bad. Bathroom was not clean, pool was fun.
Smoking? - posted on 12/20/2005
Our rooms were in the no smoking section of the motel, but we could smell smoke in the rooms when we checked in.

For the most part our experience at Days Inn was a good one. We are repeat customers. We like the reasonable rates and the fact that there is a pool for the kids. Another plus is your close access to shopping. We liked you continental breakfast and newspaper, however coffee makers in the room would be nice. But all in all we enjoyed are stay there.

Hotel was conveniently located, had a good continental breakfast and staff was helpful.

We wouldn't stay at this Days Inn again. It is showing it's age and needs a little TLC. The staff was very good and pleasant. The room was very small and uncomfortable. Otherwise our stay wasn't that bad.

My partner is 4 1/2 months pregnant with twins. I couldn't get any extra pillows for her until the next day. The front counter personnal appeared uninterested and unconcerned. I couldn't believe that there would only be two towels total in a room. The next day I had to track down the cleaning staff myself and get some extra pillows. Other than that our experience was good. Good location.

For some unknown reason, we got stuck with a "smoking" room. The stench was so strong, sleeping with the window wide open did little to make our stay bearable.

We were checked into a dirty room and had to be re-checked after about a 10 minute wait.
Not impressed - posted on 11/24/2004
Was not overly impressed with the rooms. Had a heat register that clanked and made noise 24 hours a day. The pillows definitely need to be replaced, and when we checked in, the front desk staff were not friendly or helpfull. I was passed my room key, but not told where my room was or where I should park.
