Nice looking rooms and clean. Great location on the beach just down from main public beach. Good size pools and deck area.

The hotel was quite nice, with many luxury amenities packed into an efficient space, and yet it never felt cramped. The staff was lovely, the beach was beautiful. It was a lovely stay. There are not, however, designated smoking areas, and their smoking and non-smoking rooms are on the same halls, which smell terrible.

Lounge chairs looking out over the beach, the lifeguard at the beach, attentive staff, nice pool.

Unable to get a non-smoking room!

The 184-room Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort Wrightsville Beach is designed for vacationing families and couples but has facilities well suited to the business traveler. Items included with the room rate at this eight-story, non-smoking resort are an area shuttle to nearby shops and restaurants and Wilmington Airport, high-speed Internet access throughout the property, a morning newspaper, in-room coffee, local telephone calls and parking. This oceanfront hotel is close to area attractions including historic downtown Wilmington, Screen Gem Studios, the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and the USS North Carolina Battleship. The event facilities here have ocean views and can accommodate 400 guests.

This Sunspree Resort proved to be a winner with visitors to North Carolinas Wrightsville Beach. Families with young children, college students and retired couples all gave good reviews about this Holiday Inn property. The accommodation was good, the enthusiasm of the cheerful crew of employees was excellent and the rates were affordable. Many guests said they could not wait to return to this property to enjoy the ocean views and the many activities organized here and had no problem recommending the resort to fellow travelers.
