The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Raleigh Crabtree is centrally located in Raleigh and comprises 112 suites designed for the extended stay business or leisure traveler. Each of the suites has a separate living room, sleeping area and a fully equipped kitchen. Items included with the room rate at this four-story, non-smoking hotel are a hot breakfast buffet, a manager’s reception on Monday through Thursday evenings, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There are two meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The larger can accommodate 60 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include eight golf courses, the NC State Capitol, NC Museum of Art, NC State Fairgrounds, NC State University, Duke University, the Farmers Market, the Walnut Creek Amphitheatre and shopping at Crabtree Valley Mall and North Hills Mall.

Most visitors to Raleigh who stayed at this Residence Inn were delighted with their stay. The rooms were spacious and well equipped and the employees were friendly and efficient. Many clients said the property was well maintained and the rates were reasonable, particularly if you made use of all the freebies. There were some complaints that the televisions were small and the in-room Internet access was S L O W. All the suites have a kitchen with conventional oven and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, pullout sofa bed, television with cable movie and news channels and pay-per-view movies, VCR player, hairdryer and an iron and ironing board. The bathrooms have a separate shower and a bathtub with spray jets.

This inn has an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool, fitness center, putting green and adjoins a walking-running trail. The hotel offers a grocery shopping service and has a list of restaurants that will deliver to the inn. Restaurants nearby include a Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang’s China Bistro, Bahama Breeze, TGI Fridays, a Red Robin, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and the Kanki Japanese House of Steaks. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes. From Raleigh-Durham Airport (RDU)10 miles: Take I-40 to I-440 Outer Beltline to exit 7b that will be the Crabtree Valley/Glenwood Avenue exit. Make a left turn onto Glenwood Avenue and go to the second light and make a left on Blue Ridge Road. Go approximately 1/4 mile and turn left at McDonalds on Summit Park Lane. The hotel will be on your left.
