Over all it was a very pleasant stay. The surrounding road system was a bit confusing to navigate. I asked the clerk to clarify a few things for me on that and I was able to find my way around comfortably. I'd stay at the same Marriott again in the future.

It was well laid out and quite. Beds were quite comfortable.

There was only a sheer curtain across the 2nd floor window.

The 187-room Marriott Durham Civic Center is located in the heart of downtown Durham in the business and financial center and is connected to the civic center and adjacent to Durham Arts Center. The nine-story, non-smoking hotel provides quality accommodation at an affordable price for both the business and leisure traveler. The hotel operates a free shuttle to area attractions within a four-mile radius. Other items included in the rates are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby. The hotel has 13 meeting rooms for social or business functions. The largest, the Exhibit Hall, can accommodate 2,000 guests. The property is two miles from Duke University, the Duke Hospitals and North Carolina Central University. The Durham Bulls Athletic Park, home of the Durham Bulls and the Bull Durham Blues Festival, is within walking distance. It is an even shorter walk to the Carolina Theatre, which is in the civic center complex.

All the guestrooms, and two suites, have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, cable television with movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and an IDD telephone with voicemail.
