This motel is being remodled.Very mush needed.The bed was good. Floors,sink, tub clean. Some areas had cat odor. The toilet wobbled. Wood rot. Pool empty and cement broken.This place was beautiful 20 years ago and has potential but not now. They should completely renovate the rooms.

i was very very satisfied, people want 5 star rooms for under $50.00. be real it was very clean and a very good staff.

First room, the bed broke when I sat on it, cigarette burns all over the bathtub and sink, the drains in the sink and tub barely drained, mildew all around the bath, shower did not work properly, broken tiles in bath, broken lampshades, sheets and blankets did not fit beds, broken railings, missing fire extinguishers, absolutely the worst place that I have ever stayed in.

This is the worst hotel that we ever stayed at. The hotel room smelled as soon as you opened the door. The couch sank as soon as you sat on it. The bathroom shower had mildew. When you took a shower, the water did not drain out of the bathtub. When we asked to use an iron, they gave us an iron that did not work. Then when we tried to exchange it for another iron, they told us the iron was the only one that they had on the premise.

This is the worst hotel stay ever. The rooms smelled like raid, the bathrooms had mildew in the tub, the couch sank as soon as you sat on it, and we asked for the use of an iron which did not work plus it was the only iron on the premise.

You should not have this on your website, as we will not trust this site to book hotels again. This was a very shoddy hotel that was way overpriced.

I had to plug in the lamps, TV and connect the cable. The tub had cigarette burns on it, not to mention mold in the corners. The screws were hanging out of the fan grill in the bathroom, and the towel racks were broken and haning upside down on the walls. Thank goodnesss the A/C worked and the bed seemed clean enough. You definitely get what you pay for!

The rooms are newly renovated, complete with new carpet. Property is probably 30 years old and the common areas could stand some serious refurbishing. Location is 5 minutes from Duke University, but not in the best part of town. Continental breakfast was disappointing and the dining area could definitely use some updating and cleaning. If you're just looking for a place to rest at a good price, I think this place is fine. I'd have no problem staying there again, but if the entire family was with me, I'd probably use a better hotel.

The cutomer service would rate 6 stars on a 5 star scale. The manager could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The pool was well maintained and large enough to actually swim in.Their continental breakfast was as good as any that I have experienced in the US. I would highly recommend this hotel for budget conscious travellers.

Price isn't everything. Wooed by what seemed like a good deal, we were quickly disabused of that notion when we opened the door to our room. If you want nice, go somewhere else. The nights are kind of creepy with constant comings and goings and door slammings. Strangely, the bed was the most comfortable that I've slept in in a long while, but the bed covers smelled funky. It left me feeling a little used and creepy - but it was cheap,and I guess I got what I paid for. I'll just think better of it next time.
