The 117-room Courtyard by Marriott Research Triangle Park is located just minutes from the 7,000-acre Research Triangle Park, the largest research park in the United States with over 100 research and development companies. The three-story, non-smoking hotel was designed for business clients but its facilities are equally suited to the leisure traveler. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel is close to eight golf course and eight miles from Raleigh-Durham International Airport. There are two meeting rooms for social or business functions. The larger can accommodate 40 guests. Area attractions and landmarks include the Streets at Southpoint Mall, Duke University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Durham Bulls Ballpark and the North Carolina State Fairgrounds

This is a special Courtyard. You find things here not normally available in other Courtyards. There is a free breakfast, most Courtyards charge $9 for this. Pillows galore: One former client said he had six pillows on each queen-size bed. Many of those who have stayed here said they enjoyed the lowest rates in the area – and got the highest service. Courtyard by Marriott Research Triangle Park Accommodations

All the guestrooms, and six suites, have a work desk with ergonomic chair and high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, coffee and tea making facilities, cable television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock and a hairdryer. The bathrooms have a separate bathtub and shower.

Amenities offered

The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool and fitness center. The Courtyard Café only serves breakfast. Nearby places to eat include the California Pizza Kitchen, PF Chang’s and Firebirds Rocky Mountain Grill. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes, information on area events and attractions and a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel. Other amenities include a coin-operated laundry and dry-cleaning service, and a fax and copying machine available for guest use.
