The 136 all-suites SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte University Research Park provides spacious accommodation at a reasonable price for both the business traveler and families on vacation. The four-story, non-smoking hotel is located in University Research Park, a 3,200-acre business park, home to Charlotte's growing business community and the University of North Carolina Charlotte campus. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, or grab-and-go breakfast bag, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There is one room available for business or social meetings that can accommodate 10 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include three golf courses, Lowe's Motor Speedway, the Charlotte Convention Center, Bank of America Stadium, home of the Charlotte Panthers, the Paramount Carowinds theme park and the Charlotte Bobcats Arena.

Former visitors to this SpringHill Suites were impressed by the reasonable rates, impressive new fitness center and the location within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The employees got good reviews for being polite and efficient. Minor gripe was that the indoor swimming pool is not one of the largest. All the suites have a wet bar, mini-refrigerator and microwave oven. Other features are a work desk with ergonomic chair and high-speed Internet access, cable television with news and movie channels, pay-per-view movies, VCR player, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, two-line telephone with voicemail, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer.

This hotel has an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and fitness center. The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are numerous restaurants nearby including an Applebees, Chili’s, Romano’s Macaroni Grill and Logan’s Roadhouse. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions. Other amenities include copy and fax services, a coin-operated laundry, valet-dry cleaning, vending machines and a picnic area with barbecue grill.
