The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte Uptown comprises 150 suites equally suited to the business or leisure traveler. The 11-story, non-smoking hotel is next to Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, and provides a complimentary shuttle to the uptown area. Other items included in the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, a manager’s reception from 6pm to 7.30pm Monday through Thursday, local telephone calls, high-speed Internet access and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There are two rooms available for business or social functions. The larger can accommodate 100 guests. Nearby landmarks and attractions include Discovery Place, the Mint Museum, Time Warner Cable Arena, home of the Charlotte Bobcats, Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Paramount Carowinds theme park and the Charlotte Convention Center.

All the suites have a kitchen with conventional oven and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, television with cable movie and news channels, hairdryer and an iron and ironing board. There is a separate shower and a bathtub with spray jets.
