The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room was clean. Though we ate out most of the time I liked the small kitchen. There was a computer with internet access available in the lobby which was nice. Overall experience was great.

The pet-friendly TownePlace Suites by Marriott Charlotte University Research Park provides inexpensive accommodation equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. The three-story, non-smoking hotel comprises 96 suites with fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. The hotel is located between Charlotte and Concord and close to the University of North Carolina. Items included in the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, or grab-and-go breakfast bag, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel is a short drive from Lowes Motor Speedway, Concord Mills, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, uptown Charlotte, Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, and the Time Warner Cable Arena, home of the Charlotte Bobcats.

Families with pets, looking for extended stay accommodation, say that this inn solved the problem. The suites were spacious and the employees were efficient and friendly and even found treats for their dogs. The grown-ups liked the donuts available in the lobby in the morning and younger members of the family enjoyed the pool. Travelers passing through the area said the inn was easy to find, close to I-85, and the rates were reasonable. Most guests said they would use this hotel on future visits to Charlotte and had no hesitation in recommending the property to others.
