132 East Trade Street
Charlotte, NC 28280
Chain: Omni Hotels
This four diamond luxury hotel is one of the Charlotte skyline's most interesting features. In addition to making the surrounding landscape more beautiful, it offers some of the area's most luxurious hotel accomodations while still preserving the charm you expect from North Carolina. Located on the south side of the heart of Charlotte, you are within walking distance from the city's center, but you are close enough to outlying roads to be able to escape the quagmire of rush hour traffic without getting trapped. The hotel lobby is a short escalator ride away from the Overstreet Mall, which features more than 30 boutique shops and restaurants. The hotel is just blocks away from the Charlotte convention center, many bank and other commerce buildings, and only about 15 minutes from Charlotte-Douglass International Airport. Combining both luxury and convenience, there is no better place to stay in Charlotte.
Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
I stayed in the Charlotte Omni when I was first visiting Charlotte and looking for a place to live. For a stay that is luxurious, convenient, and accomodating, the Omni Hotels in general, and the Charlotte Omni in particular, promise some of your most relaxing experiences. The desk staff in Charlotte is courteous and eager to help, and the location can't be beaten. It's known around town as THE place to stay...my only words of caution would be to avoid the hotel bar, which is pricey even for uptown, and there are many better options within an easy walking distance (Check out Ri-Ra a few blocks away on Tryon for a truly unique experience!). Overall, however, it's one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. Read our customer reviews?
The guest rooms and suites are some of the loveliest in Charlotte. There are 5 unique room designs for you to choose from. Each room offers high-speed internet access, air conditioning, and unprecedented views of the area skyline and surrounding city.
Each room is equipped with an individual climate control, which is crucial in North Carolina's excruciating summers, plush robes, a fully stocked mini-fridge (although items might be a bit pricey), feather pillows, in-room coffee and tea, a full sized ironing board and iron, am/fm alarm clocks, two phones with dual lines and speakers, television with on-demand movies, high speed internet access, and a smartdesk with a dataport.

From I-85 and I-77 South: Take Exit 10B off of 77S for Trade St. Go east on Trade toward Uptown for approximately 1 mile, crossing the Square at Tryon Street. The hotel is on the corner. The motor lobby entrance is located on half block past Tryon Street on the right.
