The Hotel was great as far as location. With the evacuation, there was no instruction and no information given to the people waiting outside. They need to have some leadership.

Great location. Nice restaurant.

Fire Alarm went off at 11:00 and had to evacuate for 45 min.

All of the staff was very helpful and courteous even to the fact that I did not wish the ride the elevators and had to be let into the stairwell upon each entry. The room was also very clean and up to par. The location of the this Hotel was ideal for my weekend as I planned to visit the South park Mall and this was straight across the street from it. I rate this overall experience as a 10.

I liked the fact everyone was courteous and went the extra mile to help you.

The hotel stair doors stayed locked from the first floor.

This 262-room property is now the Renaissance Charlotte South Park, a seven-story suburban hotel in an office park four miles from downtown. The hotel is well equipped for both business and leisure travelers and has 15 meeting rooms available for seminars, banquets and weddings. The property is within easy driving distance of the Bobcat Arena (NBA), South Park Mall, Queens University, Charlotte Convention Center, Bank of America Stadium (NFL) and Carowinds Amusement Park. In addition to its regular rooms and suites the hotel has larger rooms designed for families. It also has special package deals for shoppers with a $50 gift card to use at any store in the nearby South Park Mall as an incentive.

There was some confusion when this hotel switched from a Hyatt property to become a Marriott Renaissance hotel. Guests complained that Marriott had not moved fast enough to bring it up to the Renaissance brand. That is now all in the past and more recent guests say they enjoy the quieter surroundings away from the city center. There have been positive reports about good dining and a team of employees that is helpful and friendly.
