The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte South-Interstate 77 at Tyvola Road comprises 116 suites ideally suited to the extended stay business traveler or families on vacation. The suites have fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, socials on Monday through Wednesday evenings, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available in the lobby. The three-story, non-smoking hotel has one meeting room for business or social functions that can accommodate 40 guests. The property has good access to I-77 enabling an easy drive to downtown and the area attractions. Corporate offices close to the hotel include Equifirst, GE, Goodrich, BellSouth, Belk, Wells Fargo and Home Mortgage.

Extended stay visitors to Charlotte said this Residence Inn proved to be an excellent choice. The rates were reasonable provided you made good use of the complimentary items – particularly the weekday manager’s reception with a light dinner and cocktails. It was a good place to meet new friends and learn more about the North Carolina attractions. All the suites have a kitchen with conventional oven and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a fireplace, work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, cable television with movie and news channels, hairdryer and an iron and ironing board.

This inn has an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool and fitness center. The complimentary breakfast, and the midweek light dinners are the only meals served here. From Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) 6 miles: Take Billy Graham Pkwy South to Tyvola Road-Coliseum Exit. Veer right and stay on Tyvola Rd for four miles. Turn Right at light onto Westpark Drive (across from McDonalds). The hotel is located on the right after the Marriott.
